Kilmeen Drama Group Present
Following the updated Government announcement all The Everyman events scheduled until April 19th have been postponed. Individual ticket holders will be contacted with more specific show information as soon we can.
Kilmeen Drama Group bring the beautiful folk play Sharon’s Grave to life on The Everyman stage in an enthralling new production which is infused with comedy and drama.
Sharon’s Grave was the second play from the pen of John B. Keane, following Sive. Its first professional performance was in 1960, by the Southern Theatre Group. Just four of the original cast survive. Kilmeen native Flor Dullea, an original cast member who played Jack Conlee, remains active in theatre circles.
The play is about the forces of good and evil and the mythical beliefs of 1930’s rural Ireland. It deals with a man’s ruthless lust for land, which overrides all family loyalties, and ultimately leads to tragedy.
