The Everyman has been part of Ireland’s cultural heritage for 120 years. Our ornate Victorian auditorium is a nationally important structure of rare historical and cultural value. Casting Notice – SEA TRILOGY
The Everyman and John O’Brien are searching for 8 female opera singers for our upcoming triple bill of Riders to the Sea (Vaughan Williams) dir. John O’Brien, The Lament for Art O’Leary (Irene Buckley) dir. Sophie Motley, and Coiscéim (John O’Brien) dir. Philip Connaughton.
We are casting professional soprano, mezzo and contralto ensemble members. Singers should be comfortable performing some choreography.
Auditions will involve an individual vocal audition in the first session, consisting of one Song/Aria in English, successful candidates will be shortlisted and called back for a group movement workshop in the second session.
Rehearsal: full time rehearsals in Cork from April 6, 2020
Production: Opening 30 April 2020 and touring to Cork, Dublin, Wexford and Galway. Closing 12 May 2020
